Named one of the Top 10 gardens in America by USA Today, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a Twin Cities natural treasure. Its 1,000 acres encompass 32 specialty gardens, extensive plant collections and natural areas, not to mention the newly created Maze Garden, an intriguing attraction for all ages. The Arboretum's new Oswald Visitor Center features an art gallery, orientation center, large gift store and an airy upstairs cafeteria-style restaurant. Open 363 days a year, the Arboretum celebrates nature's glory in all seasons, with an ever-changing array of exhibits and events. In the fall, visitors can enjoy "Scarecrows on Parade," a collection of handmade garden creatures, as well as a lively "Passion for Pumpkins" display and the new permanent Maze Garden. Winter brings a festive "Making Spirits Bright" holiday-themed exhibit, along with opportunities for cold-weather hikes and cross-country skiing. Spring and summer are a celebration for the senses as the gardens blossom in dramatic color and shape. The Arboretum's Learning Center boasts a "please-touch" greenhouse and several interactive exhibits. There's something for everyone at the Arb!
